MICHAEL JOSEPH McQUILKEN

Immediately after graduating from YSD in 2011, Michael began a collaboration with Amanda Palmer that would become a new band 

(The Grand Theft Orchestra), a full-length album (Theater Is Evil),

several music videos, and a world-touring rock show directed by,

and with theatrics designed by, McQuilken (including the giant

dress pictured above that covered the audience when Amanda

crowed-surfed).  The video to the left is an interview with Michael

and Amanda that explains the process in greater detail, along with

video clips from the Theatre Is Evil live show, shot by Sarah Lasley.
